Who Am I and Why Media Studies?

Hi! My name is Amalia, I’m 17 years old, and I chose Media Studies because I’ve always been fascinated by the world of film, social media, and visual storytelling. I love horror movies-the way they build suspense, create eerie atmospheres, and make audiences feel something intense. I also spend a lot of time on TikTok and YouTube, where media plays such a huge role in shaping trends and entertainment. On top of that, I adore makeup, beauty, and all things pink, so I love how media blends creativity and aesthetics.

Setting Up My Blog

Starting this blog was definitely an interesting experience! I’ve never really done something like this before, but I love designing things, so choosing the colors, fonts, and layout was fun. I wanted my blog to reflect my personality. It’s a work in progress, but I’m excited to keep adding to it!

Magazine vs Film Opening

I had to choose between creating a magazine or a film opening. For me, the choice was easy.I had to go with a film opening! As much as I love makeup and beauty, I’ve always been drawn to the way films can tell a story in just a few minutes. Plus, with my love for horror, this was the perfect opportunity to create something spooky and cinematic. I can't wait to bring my ideas to life!

Looking at Other Blogs and Finding My Style

I’ve been looking at other blogs for inspiration, and it’s so interesting to see how different everyone’s approach is. Some are super detailed and professional, while others are more casual and personal. For my blog, I want it to feel like a mix of horror, aesthetics, and creativity. I’ll be sharing my thoughts, progress, and behind-the-scenes moments as I work on my film opening.
